Welcome to your second challenge, and congratulations on making it through the first round. Beagle getting your first look at the new Tortuga tribe: Osten, having lived up to his legacy, was voted out at the first tribal council.
Today's challenge is part endurance, part luck, and part strategy. You'll need heavy doses of all three in order to win.
Now, today's challenge is both simple and complex, so I'd recommend that you read the rules carefully before beginning.
We've placed each of you in a different position along a circular course, with positions numbered 1 to 40. Every fifteen minutes, you're going to be allowed to move one spot forward. So, at 1:00 Ben can move from spot #1 to spot #2, then at 1:15 he can move from #2 to #3, and so on. You are only allowed to go forward. Also, since this track is circular, you'll be going from spot #40 back to spot #1 and so on.
In order to move forward, you will post in this thread:
Please also include an updated list of positions.
Now, getting back to the title of this challenge. It's not just a Lion King reference. This is an elimination challenge. Obviously, since there are so many of you, and such little spacing in between the spots, you're going to be running into other people. If you manage to catch up to an opponent by landing on their space, you will post:
That person is then removed from the board, and may not participate in the challenge any more.
Note: This is the only way to move past another person, and DOES include members of your own team. If there's someone on your tribe that's just standing around, it might be advantageous for you to simply eliminate them and keep on going. This means that one dedicated person could theoretically win this challenge for their team singlehandedly.
Your objective is to eliminate all members of the opposing team. If the challenge is still going at the 24-hour mark, then the winning team will be the one with the most members remaining. In the event of a tie in that department, Immunity will go to the tribe with the member who individually covered the most distance. (And if there's still a tie, well, we hate you.)
